Successful periodontics necessitates an understanding of the biology of the body and the disease, diagnosing the extent of the disease, the circumstances that can aggravate its activity, wisely deciding on the treatment, and the astuteness in monitoring the disease activity during the maintenance phase.

The objective of this presentation will be focused on all of the above concerns. With attention to these details, the amazing healing potential of the body can be realized.

Joseph P. Breloff, DDS, MS is a 1975 graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and received his Masters Degree in Periodontics at University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Breloff held rank of Captain in the United States Air Force (USAF) where he completed his General Practice Residency in 1976 and served active duty as a dentist for the USAF from 1976-1978.  Dr. Breloff has run a private practice limited to periodontics from 1981 to present.  He is a member of the Eight District Dental Society Council on Insurance, Chairman for Professional Division for Eastern Niagara United Way, and Chairman of Handicap Committee at Lockport Town and Country Club.
