ENDODONTICS FOR TODAY’S MODERN PRACTICE

All things endodontic for the modern age dental practice.  We will explore current concepts of proper endodontic diagnosis, access preparations, and cleaning and shaping protocols.  We will explore advances in canal length measurements.  We will discuss advances in rotary instrumentation to include the latest information on controlled memory files.

 

Course Objectives:

·       Learn the current concepts for endodontic diagnosis and case selection.

·       Gain a greater understanding of canal complexity and anatomy.

·       Discover the latest technology in controlled memory rotary files.

·       Explore the current trends in canal irrigation.

Richard J. Gray, DDS graduated from the University of Southern California in June of 1990.  He began his career as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy, where he completed a one-year general practice residency at Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton.  He left the Navy in 1993 to open his own general dental office in Fountain Hills, Arizona.  He practiced general dentistry until the summer of 1998.  Dr. Gray returned to USC to complete his endodontic residency, graduating in 2000. Upon completion of his residency, he moved back to Mesa, Arizona, where he opened his own endodontic office.  In October of 2007, Dr. Gray was recalled to active duty and sent to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Upon his return home in 2008, Dr. Gray relocated to the east coast, and settled in Richmond, Virginia.  He maintains a private practice in Midlothian, Virginia, where he is a board eligible endodontist and an active Navy Reservist.  Previously Dr. Gray was an assistant professor in the graduate department of endodontics at Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry.

 

Dr. Gray resides in Glen Allen, Virginia, with his wife Tere and their five children.
