POSTERIOR COMPOSITES Hands-on Program Supported by an educational grant from Ivoclar Vivadent.
Thursday, September 26, 2013 9:00am-12:00pm (3 CE hrs)
Limited to 30 participants. Posterior direct restoratives play a significant role in daily dental practice. Predictable and successful outcome from the resin composite restorations remains to be the main concern for many practitioners mostly due to the technique sensitive steps. New techniques are often suggested to reduce procedure steps, but mostly in an expense of the quality of the restorations and their longevity. However, some of the new advancements in resin and photopolymerization technology allow us to be productive without compromising the quality of the restorations.
This course is designed to outline the principles in providing successful quality restorations utilizing advanced chemistries and resin technology. The hands-on part will focus on proper adhesion protocols and establishing a proper form and function utilizing a new bulk-fill resin composite.
Course Objectives: · Understand proper adhesion protocol and application techniques. · Understand the bulk-fill resin composites’ spectrum of indications. · Understand proper placement techniques to achieve optimum contacts and anatomy.
