Drug therapy is a constantly changing environment in the medical field. In this era of evidence-based dentistry, clinician input along with current research helps to ensure successful patient outcomes.
This course will provide updates in the areas of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory agents and analgesics for medications commonly prescribed by dental professionals. Information presented will address patient-specific indications and participants are encouraged to share their expertise.
Current drug information resources will be discussed and handouts provided.

Discuss the current recommendations for antibiotic pre-medication of patients
Recommend effective antibiotics for a variety of scenarios
Discuss treatment options for different types of inflammatory conditions
