PLEASE NOTE: no city tax for Sicily has been released yet but if they do in 2013, they will have to be paid CASH upon check out from every hotel and the assistant will take care of collecting the money from the guest at the beginning of the trip.

Saturday October 5: Arrive Palermo Excelsior Palace Hilton (3 nights)


Sunday October 6: CDE Lecture / Segesta Tour of Greek ruins of Temple and Theatre with private guide.


Monday October 7: CDE Lecture / Visit Monreale… quaint village renown worldwide for the Byzantine mosaics decorating the inside of the cathedral… visit the Duomo and its Chiostro.


Tuesday October 8: CDE Lecture / Go to Castelbuono, a medieval hill town above Cefalu', for Lunch & Wine Tasting. Proceed to Taormina Grand Hotel Miramare (4 nights)


Wednesday October 9: Excursion to Mount Etna, visit a wine estate located on the slopes of the volcano, surrounded by extensive vineyards and with a breathtaking panoramic view for a Winery taste and Lunch. Proceed to visit the Honey House and some typical Etnei Towns as Zafferana or Linguaglossa


Thursday October 10: Day trip to Modica’s picturesque lanes and narrows streets, with plenty of old workshops, and St. George’s Church, Antica Dolceria Bonajuto, the oldest confectionary shop of Sicily, and Lunch arranged in between visits.


Friday October 11: In Taormina walk to La Capinera, for a cooking lesson and Farewell lunch then walking tour of Taormina with guide to visit the amazing Greek Theatre set on a hill overlooking the sea, and the Duomo.


Saturday October 12: DEPARTURE from Catania
