The American College of Dentists (ACD) is the oldest major honorary organization for dentists. Its members have exemplified excellence through outstanding leadership and exceptional contributions to dentistry and society. In response to serious problems facing the profession, the American College of Dentists was founded August 20, 1920, by the then leaders of dentistry to elevate the standards of dentistry, to encourage graduate study, and to grant Fellowship to those who have done meritorious work. The American College of Dentists is nonprofit and apolitical, and has long been regarded as the "conscience of dentistry."

Western NY Section Summer Outing Planned in Chautauqua, New York, June 28-29, 2013


Plans are underway for the ACD WNY Summer Outing, scheduled June 28-29, 2013 in beautiful Mayville, NY, on Lake Chautauqua. 


Note:  The meeting dates have been moved earlier from August to coincide with the Chautauqua Dental Congress. 


All ACD members are invited.

  • The Hospitality Room is located at the Chautauqua Suites.

  • Shuttle service to our events will be from the Chautauqua Suites.
  • Plans are being made for an informal dinner on Friday evening in Mayville. 
  • We are finalizing an outing on Lake Chautauqua for Saturday afternoon.

Our Section Annual Meeting will be held at a dinner scheduled for Saturday evening. Our next newsletter will include the sign-up information for our events. 


For those members interested in attending Continuing Education Courses, our Summer Meeting is scheduled immediately following the Chautauqua Dental Congress, June 26-28, 2013, at the Chautauqua Institution.
